S. Kanna Dhasan
S.Kannadhasan is Lecturer of Electrical and Electronics Engineering department,
Tamilnadu Polytechnic College, Madurai. He obtained his B.E in ECE from Sethu Institute
of Technology, Kariapatti in 2009 and M.E in Communication Systems from Velammal
College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai in 2013. He obtained his M.B.A in
Human Resources Management from Tamilnadu Open University, Chennai. He obtained
his PGVLSI in Post Graduate diploma in VLSI design from Annamalai University,
Chidambaram in 2011 and PGDCA in Post Graduate diploma in Computer Applications
from Tamil University in 2014. He obtained his PGDRD in Post Graduate diploma in Rural
Development from Indira Gandhi National Open University in 2016. He has more than
seven years of teaching and research. His areas of interest are Smart antennas, Digital
signal processing, Antenna and wave propagation. He is a Life Member of ISTE, IEI, IETE
and CSI.

M. Shanmuganantham
M. Shanmuganantham is Lecturer (S.G) and Vice Principal of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, Tamilnadu Polytechnic College, Madurai. He obtained his B.E in EEE from
Thiagarajar College of Engineering with I Class, Madurai in 1989. He has more than
Twenty seven years (27) of teaching and research. His areas of interest are Circuit Theory,
Digital Electronics, and Electrical machine design. He is a Member of ISTE.

Semiconductor
A semiconductor is a material that has conductivity somewhere between the
extremes of the insulator and a conductor. Semiconductors have negative
temperature co-efficient of resistance, the resistance of the semiconductor
decrease with increases in temperature.
Germanium (Ge) and Silicon(Si) are the semiconductor devices. The range of 0.7
for silicon and 0.3 for germanium.
